Abstract

|
Dysmyelopoietic syndromes(DNPS) are characterized by ineffective hematopoiesis with
peripheral blood cytopenias and a norinocellular or hypercellular bone marrow, and in
some cases, progress to the acute myeloid leukemia. Recently the FAB group defined
five subtypes of DMPS.
We observed 3 cases of DMPS, and report these cases with review of literature. Two
patients had refractory anemia with excess of blasts(RAEB). Both developed acute
myeloid leukemia, 2 months and 8 mtonths respectively, after the onset of the initial
symptoms. Another patient had refractory anemia(RA).
